The second annual SHE Expo will bring together local women, families, community-based health organizations and medical professionals with fitness, beauty and wellness experts — all to help women make better decisions about their health, wellness, lifestyles and beauty.
In addition to providing education for attendees, the Expo, to be held on April 6 will also be full of inspiration and fun. The day-long event will provide information on health issues and available services and resources, as well as comprehensive wellness. Organizers say the event “promises to invigorate the Statesboro community to keep health and wellness a priority.”
Held at The Venues at Ogeechee Technical College, the Expo will feature hourly door prizes, scheduled on stage demonstrations and informational sessions, contests and more. There will also be a grand prize door prize, to be drawn at 12:55 p.m., just before the close of the event at 1.
This year’s theme is ‘Health|Wellness|Connections.” Organizers at the Statesboro Herald are thrilled to have East Georgia Regional Medical Center return as Title Sponsor. EGRMC was the Title Sponsor for the inaugural event in 2018 as well. The Expo is supported entirely by donated resources and volunteers, in-kind donations, gifts and the generosity of supporters.
“We are very excited to return as the Title Sponsor again at this year’s second-ever SHE Expo, right here in Statesboro! Partnering with the Statesboro Herald to plan something fun and engaging for women of all ages in Bulloch County and the surrounding areas has truly been fulfilling for us. We had such a wonderful time last year, and are looking forward to another successful event this year. We look forward to everyone coming out to experience all that it will have to offer. The health and wellness of our community is a priority for us at East Georgia Regional Medical Center, and we hope that this free event will bring fresh, new ideas and empowerment to Statesboro for many years to come. We hope to see you all there,” said Erin Spillman, director of Marketing at EGRMC.
The 2019 Expo will feature food trucks and vendors who will have food and other items available for purchase.
All area women are invited to attend, and children are welcome. Attendees will receive medical information, free health screenings, samples, makeovers and demonstrations from beauty, health and fitness companies.
All attendees will be registered to win door prizes, and winners must be present for all door prizes with the exception of the grand prize.
The Expo is open to the public and admission is free. Set-up for exhibitors and sponsors will begin at 7 a.m., and the doors will open to the public at 8 a.m.
